I cried at church today!

So last week and this week at church the sermon has been about marriage.  Both sermons have been really good and I urge you to listen to them at www.aboutccc.com  

This morning I cried at this video that was shown - you have to watch it...I guarantee you too will cry...from laughing!

Old fashion play!

I LOVE some old fashion play!! I love to see girls get together and play dolls and have tea parties. I love it when kids come up with secret hand shakes and clubs that require codes and passwords to gain access; clubhouses and tree houses; or playing dress-up...there's just something so cool about seeing a child's creativity come out when there isn't technology involved.

Olivia had her best friend Abbey over for some old fashion play! They set up a tea party in the driveway. On the menu was dolphin, octopus and tea.

when it got a little windy, the tea party moved to the bed of Brian's truck that was parked in the garage.

Put Olivia on an elevated surface and it quickly becomes a stage! The girls decided that they would play Snow White

Olivia: I'm going to be the evil woman

Abbey: and I'm going to be Snow White

Olivia: (turned to Brian's truck window) Mirror, Mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all? WHAT?!? SNOW WHITE?!? I'm going to have to kill her.

Olivia: Ohhhh, Snooow Whiiiiite, Snooow Whiiite I have a lovely apple for you
Abbey: (grabs apple and takes a bite)

WHAM!! Abbey hits the deck!

Olivia: (turns into a prince and kisses Snow White)

Abbey: (comes back to life)

Mother's Day present

I finally got my mother's day present out of the box and was able to play with it 6 days after I got it! I got the camera of my dreams last week for Mother's day and my birthday which is months away. I would love to become a professional photographer when I grow up, but for now I just want it as a hobby and to take pictures of my kids, family and friends. Here's just a few of the pics I took the other day.
